Send feedback
The quickest way: the feedback form. From the app, Help › Send Feedback opens it with your Carbone version, macOS version, Mac model and language filled in, as fields you can read, change or clear before anything is sent. No account, and an email address only if you want a reply.
Open a public issue
Bugs and requests can also go in the public support repository on GitHub, where anyone can see whether something is already known.
Write to support@mgcrea.io. If a page was read wrong, describe it rather than attaching it: the documents worth converting are usually private, and a description of the layout (two columns, a table without lines, a stamp over the text) is most often enough to reproduce it with a page of our own.
Before you write
These turn most reports into a fix rather than a round trip:
- Your Carbone and macOS versions (Carbone › About Carbone)
- Whether the page was a digital PDF or a scan or photo, and which engine converted it
- What the page looks like where it went wrong, and what the Markdown said instead
- A screenshot, if it shows nothing private
Requirements
A Mac running macOS 26 or later. Carbone reads PDF, PNG, JPEG, HEIC, TIFF files, and captures pages from any camera the Mac sees. The iPhone and iPad apps come later.
Privacy
Carbone collects nothing, so there is no account to look you up by. See the privacy policy for what stays on your Mac.
